We have moved!

Finally! After a couple delays and lots of detail changes, we completed the move. This Friday it will be two weeks.

And during those two weeks, we have had a plumber twice for a leaking kitchen faucet, the pool man for the gushing hot tub, and now we are into day 2 of a 6 day roofing project. All of these were supposed to be completed before we took possession. And school started last Monday and its been a couple of crazy weeks.

But along with all the maintenance projects, including some updating projects that I am super excited about. So far I have painted the kitchen, living room and hallway in Summit Gray (Sherwin Williams). I painted bathroom off the hallway Peppercorn ( Sherwin Williams). I am currently painting the Den (boy's playroom). I am using Summit Gray in there as well but adding pops of color on the bookshelves and plan on creating a super cool Marquee Letter "P".

Nothing super exciting, but here is a picture of the roof in progress. We have a brown tone roof and opted for the onyx black. It will really tie into the shutters and front door once we get those painted later this fall.

  1. Pleased to meet you, Amanda! How's your house doing? I can see from that picture that it does have a good foundation. The roofing structure has the ideal angled position that can resist the elements. Have you coated the roof with protective paint? It can protect your roof from corrosion, acid rain, and other elements.

  2. Greetings, Amanda! How are you doing? I'm hoping that you're having a wonderful time while reading this comment of mine. You know what? I truly like your house. It's so admirable! The structure of the exterior looks fantastic. I'm pretty sure that the temperature of your house is cool. Looking at the image, I noticed that the rays of the sun are not hitting directly to your house. By the way, your roof looks nice and well structured.

  3. How are you doing with your new home, Amanda? Even with the roof unfinished, the house already looks nice. And Allison is right, it's a must that you coat it with protective paint! It's been a while since you updated, I hope you'll tell us more about your life in your new town.
